The Pak Oman Microfinance Bank’s Board of Directors has nominated Farooq Rashid as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Rashid has over 25 years of senior management experience, including a decade spent developing strategic initiatives and promoting digital financial services at AKBL, MMBL, and NRSP-MFBL.
He has extensive expertise establishing new companies and excels at developing strategies and implementing creative schemes in a variety of areas, including digital financial services, process re-engineering, project management, and consumer banking.
Rashid earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Kennesaw State University and a master’s degree in business administration from Brenau University in the United States of America. He began his career in 1996 as a Management Trainee officer at Askari Commercial Bank Ltd. He led JazzCash while employed by Mobilink Bank Ltd. His most recent position was as Head of NRSP – MFBL’s Digital Financial Services.
