It is with immense pride that Connected Women Pakistan (CWP) announced the launch of its venture ‘Virtual Women Shopping Spree 3.0’ (VSS3) on 14th April, 2021 and successfully started the campaign on 24th April, 2021 that is currently going on, and aims to end on 7th May, 2021. The ‘Virtual Women Shopping Spree 3.0’ is the third shopping spree initiative of the Virtual Women Shopping Spree series that commenced in Ramadan, 2020. During tough times brought about by Covid-19, CWP provided women-led businesses with a platform and opportunity to showcase their products to the entire nation to boost their sales.
The second round of the shopping spree was briefly conducted during Eid-ul-Adha, and seeing how well the initiative has been received by our audience, we keep coming back with the concept time and again. Through this venture, we aim to facilitate women owned businesses improve their outreach and cater to a wider set of audiences through our group as well as the communities who agree to support us in this wonderful initiative. CWP is seeking communities to come on board as our Outreach Partners in order to facilitate more women owned businesses, and help them grow.
Last year in Ramadan, around 20 women-led businesses were featured in the Virtual Women Shopping Spree and benefitted from the experience. The sellers were taught how to set up live sessions, interact with the sellers, showcase their offerings, create engaging posts and better sell their products. It was a wholesome experience for them that facilitated in boosting their leads and sales.
This time around as well, the Virtual Women Shopping Spree 3.0 by CWP aims to do just that to create an even bigger impact. Around 20 sellers have been on board, and about half of them have already featured their products on the platform, and conducted successful live sessions that have improved their business’s visibility and sales, while the remaining half are all set to make their mark.
To provide our sellers with the best opportunities, we also enabled them to participate in an ‘Eid Bazaar’ organized by a Canadian organization Reach Pakistan with overseas Pakistani sellers and target audience. The VSS3 participants were given the chance to partake in the venture pro-bono that was highly appreciated by them.
The entire CWP team is all set to make this experience worthwhile for the sellers and encourages all women-owned businesses to participate in it before all the slots get booked. The VSS3 is going on, and will end on 7th May, 2021 with a Virtual Shopping Spree Eid Gala scheduled for 8th May, 2021 to end the shopping spree venture on a celebratory note, and acknowledge the efforts of the sellers and our audience.
