Omar Abedin is Appointed Project Director of NIC Karachi

The National Incubation Center (NIC) in Karachi has named Omar Abedin as Project Director.

Omar is a multi-faceted brand creator with a broad profile that covers geographies and sectors. He was most recently the Chief Marketing Officer at Graana Group of Companies. He brings a wealth of expertise and insight in the fields of policy, creativity, teamwork, and change management.

Omar is a startup founder who is passionate about fostering the local startup ecosystem. He is currently the Director of Founder Institute Karachi and a startup mentor for National Incubation Centers across Pakistan. Omar aims to develop new avenues for investors to connect with the local startup community through his position as Project Director of NIC Karachi.

NIC Karachi provides a range of services to Sindh-based entrepreneurs and aspiring startups, as well as access to mentor and investor networks and technological tools. NIC Karachi graduated 19 startups from its second and third cohorts in August 2020.
