Zia Chishti, a foreign investor and the CEO of the American IT firm Afiniti, paid a visit to Chief Minister Mahmood Khan. According to an official handout, issues concerning investment in the IT sector in KP were discussed.
The event was attended by KP cabinet members Taimur Saleem Jhagra, Akbar Ayub Khan, Kamran Bangash, Additional Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir, and other related officials.
Zia Chishti expressed interest in investing in KP and stated that his company planned to develop a Tech City in the province.
According to him, the planned Tech City will have an initial capacity of 10,000 to 15,000 IT staff.
According to Zia Chishti, the project would generate over 50,000 job opportunities for IT graduates
It was agreed to form a joint team consisting of the KP government and Afiniti Company to find a suitable location for the proposed Tech City.
The chief minister assured the business that the KP government would completely support its efforts to establish Tech City.
