Turkey Looking Forward to Manufacture Fighter Jets and Missiles With Pakistan

Turkey is willing to work with Pakistan to build missiles and warplanes, and the partnership is likely to give Turkey access to Chinese military technology as well.

According to Bloomberg, Turkish security and government officials met with Pakistani counterparts to discuss the possibility of developing and manufacturing military hardware together.

According to Bloomberg, people from both countries have reported the development, with the most recent meeting taking place in January. They didn’t say how close the two countries are to finding a deal or when the next meeting will be.

The JF-17 Thunder fighter jet is being developed jointly by Pakistan and China. As Turkey collaborates with Pakistan on defence projects, it will gain access to Chinese military technology.

According to reports, Pakistan’s Shaheen ballistic missiles are also based on Chinese designs. Turkish officials familiar with the matter told Bloomberg on condition of anonymity that Ankara views Islamabad as a strategic ally and potential partner in the development of its Siper long-range missile defence system and TF-X fighter jets.
