Serene Air, a private airline based in Pakistan, has announced that it will begin international operations in March.

The airline, which was granted permission to operate international flights by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) in December, will fly from Islamabad to Sharjah for the first time on March 16.

Serene Air will begin service from Dubai on April 2, according to Muhammad Safdar Khan, CEO of Serene Air.

Serene Air began domestic operations in 2017, and in March, chartered flights were used to transport stranded Pakistanis from the Middle East due to the COVID pandemic.

The private airline had planned to begin flight operations in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates in January 2021, but the plans were shelved due to COVID lockdowns, which imposed global travel restrictions. “Three weekly flights from Sharjah to Islamabad and three weekly flights from Dubai to Lahore will be launched initially. If demand improves as global travel restrictions loosen, we may increase the frequency “Khan stated his opinion.

The airline’s CEO announced that they had received all necessary regulatory approvals to begin operations in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

“With Dubai and Sharjah flights, we are ready to launch regular commercial services to the UAE. However, in due course, we will announce the flight schedule for Saudi operations,” Khan said.
