To raise provincial revenue, the provincial government has announced that next year’s standardized vehicle number plate system will be introduced.
Special Assistant to the Chief Minister (SACM) on Excise and Taxation, Syed Ghazi Ghazan Jamal, recently revealed this information while providing a media briefing on his department’s two-year results.
He reported that this year; the department has already netted Rs. 2 billion from various taxes, and an additional collection of over Rs. 180 million was also discovered, showing a rise of 143% as compared to the previous year.
