Train from Islamabad to Istanbul ready to run from next month by Pakistan Railway

Pakistan Railway is all set to launch next month’s new Islamabad-Tehran-Istanbul train that will link Asia with Europe.

According to Adil Karaismailoğlu, Turkey’s Minister of Transport, railway operations in countries such as Pakistan, Iran and Turkey have recently mutually agreed to resume their normal train operations.

This railway line from the city of Istanbul to Islamabad, via the city of Tehran, has been planned to be of great benefit to all three nations. The overall economic cooperation between these three nations, Pakistan, Turkey and Iran, is also intended to be enhanced. The goal of the railway line is also to significantly reduce the transit route of all goods moving from Istanbul to Islamabad.

Nevertheless, in addition to Pakistan, Iran and Turkey, ITI ventures would also support these countries: Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
