Takaful Pakistan Limited, the country’s largest dedicated general takaful operator, has unveiled its new “Salaam Takaful Limited” brand image. A grand launch event on Friday, 26 February 2021, took place in Karachi to commemorate the beginning of this new name. The owners of the business also attended with the top brass of the financial sector and leading companies, Shariah scholars and media workers.
The chief guest was Dr. Ishrat Husain, the advisor to the Prime Minister for Structural Reforms and Austerity of Pakistan, who provided an insight into the current national economic environment in his address. Dr. Isharat Husain also added, applauding the gains made over the years by the Islamic financial sector. In addition, he congratulated Salaam Takaful Limited on their accomplishments and extended the company’s best wishes. He was of the opinion that Salaam Takaful Limited has the ability and opportunity to become a major player in the segment of Islamic insurance and will play a role in the national and global dissemination of Islamic insurance products.
Mr. Rizwan Hussain, CEO & Managing Director, Salaam Takaful Limited (Formerly Takaful Pakistan Limited), addressed the company’s journey following its acquisition by the new management in 2018 during the event.
He showcased the successes and development of the company and clarified his vision for Salaam Takaful Limited’s new identity.

Mr. Anwar Maqsood, with a brief skit that made the event unforgettable for the participants, delighted the audience. On the occasion, he exchanged a few words and congratulated Salaam Takaful Limited on their ascent as Pakistan’s largest dedicated Takaful operator.
