Saoud Abdul Rehman Al Thani, Qatari ambassador to Pakistan in the ministerial office, called on Federal Minister for National Food Security and Study Syed Fakhar Imam on Tuesday, a press release issued on Tuesday said. Their spouses were accompanied by the ambassador and the minister.
The wife of the ambassador who worked at the Qatar Foundation emphasised the value of quality education to ensure the world’s future is stable. She also highlighted steps taken by the government of Qatar to provide quality education.
The Minister pointed out the significance of synchronising language and youth with their cultural roots. The ambassador has shown a keen interest in planning to invest in the port of Karachi and the port of Gwadar in the future.
The Minister and the Ambassador addressed agricultural field research in both Qatar and Pakistan. The minister also introduced an exchange programme for students from Qatar to study at Pakistan’s agricultural research institutions. The two dignitaries have agreed that the relationship between Qatar and Pakistan is very cordial and needs to be improved further.
