KP Govt. to Promote Local Video Gaming Industry

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Science and Technology and Information Technology Department is preparing to promote the video game industry.

“There is ample amount of talent in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and we will provide young people with the opportunity to make money.” The provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa wants to improve the economy by investing in technology.

Also, he stated that the KPITB is currently exploring an industry promotion budget for gaming that would help prepare children for the gaming industry.

The advisor pointed out that the gaming industry is one of the fastest growing industries in the world. He furthered that in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa a department was formed to promote gaming.

He said that in Kahuta, there were several virtual game companies that had emerged. He stated that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Science and Technology Department had also invited gaming industry-related companies from other Pakistani cities to participate in the KP set-up.
