Among hundreds of CIOs from around the world, two Pakistani Chief Information Officers bagged the awards for “Inspiring Business Transformation” at the “World CIO 200 Summit.”
The World CIO 200 Summit brings together a unique forum for global IT decision-makers and solution providers. The industry’s suppliers and decision-makers converge under one roof, as technology is now more relevant than ever for strategic decision-making.
There were multiple nominations earned before the event in the 2020 edition of the summit, a global jury reviewed which. Subsequently, 200 top CIOs were shortlisted and nominated for the DX Inspire Awards 2020. It also included Pakistanis in the 21 shortlisted CIOs for the summit.
Of the top CIOs, 20 could win the DX Inspire awards, including two from Pakistan, Iftikhar Arif, General Manager of Information Technology at Muller and Phipps Pakistan Pvt Ltd, and Russel Withers, Global Chief Information Officer at Aga Khan Universities and Hospitals.
It should be noted here that the World CIO 200 Summit is aligned with 26 countries, and Pakistan has taken part in the summit for the second time.
A statement released after the event said, “This is indeed a moment of pride for Pakistan that capable CIOs are not only available in the private sector but also the public sector to lead the digital transformation journey for their organisations,”
Meanwhile, Loco Services, the “World CIO 200 Summit-Pakistan Edition” country partner, inspired and appreciate the CIOs of Pakistan at the international level.

In addition, they nominated 21 Pakistanis for “BOTS (The Book Of Titans)” a special yearbook honoring the achievements of the digital world’s top 200 CIOS and their ventures worldwide.
