Karachi University students’ firms among Pakistan’s top 10 innovative companies

The University of Karachi organized a ceremony to honor and inspire the students whose start-ups were named by the Japan International Cooperation Agency among Pakistan’s top 10 companies.

The Japan International Cooperation Agency has recently published a list of Pakistan’s top 10 innovative companies of which three companies are start-ups of students from the University of Karachi, “Japan International Cooperation Agency recently released a list of top 10 innovative companies of Pakistan in which three companies are startups of University of Karachi students,”

Xord, Social Champ, and Sudofy companies are startups and contribute to the field of information technology.

Xord was listed in the top 30 Global Creative Campaigns in BlockChain by the respected international ranking organization, Good Company.

Professor Dr Khalid Mahmood Iraqi, Vice-Chancellor of KU, congratulated the students and said they were an inspiration to other students at the University of Karachi. “These firms contribute positively to Pakistan’s software exports and represent Pakistan globally.”

He said that both the University of Karachi and the country are an asset to these students.

“We know how much energy and potential our students have, we just need to tap into their potential and channel their energy positively to this country’s advantage.”

Later, KU VC Professor Dr Khalid Iraqi showed the university’s logo to the students.

Also present on this occasion were Professor Dr Aliya Rehman, Director of the Research, Innovation and Commercialization Office, Professor Dr Nadeem Mahmood, Chairman of the Department of Computer Science, and Badar Sami, Senior Faculty Member.
